An acne facial is a specialized skincare treatment designed to combat acne, suitable for people of all ages dealing with this common skin concern. It typically involves deep cleansing, exfoliation, and extraction to clear out clogged pores, combined with soothing elements to reduce inflammation and redness. Tailored to individual skin types and acne severity, this facial not only targets current breakouts but also helps prevent future ones, promoting clearer and healthier skin.
An acne facial typically includes: A double cleanse, skin analysis, photos, extractions, high frequency, hydrating enzyme, or TCA Peel (5%, 7.5% or 10%), Celluma LED light therapy,
post-treat with Face Reality products.
A acne facial treatment has many benefits. The process of exfoliation unclogs pores while removing dead skin cells. Monthly treatments will help reduce oil production and inflammation of the skin, decrease irritation while killing acne-causing bacteria.
A good candidate is anyone struggling with acne. A minor must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Ideally, not on Accutane or recently ended Accutane, more than a month from first appointment. Willing to commit to home care and regular treatments for at least 3 months.
The consultation process is an in-depth conversation with a certified acne specialist/ licensed esthetician. Be prepared to discuss everything you have tried to treat your acne as well as current products. Your provider will investigate all your products (including make-up and hair products) for pore clogging ingredients. Lifestyle, diet, medications, and supplements will be discussed. The provider will develop a home care routine with Face Reality products. After the consultation, there will be a treatment. The treatment includes the following: double cleanse, skin analysis, photos, extractions, tailored treatment, Celluma LED light therapy.
The clearing process is different for everyone, but most clients see results in as little as one month. Clients should understand that it could take up to 90 days or longer depending on the severity of their acne. Aftercare will vary depending on treatment. If a peel is done, aftercare instruction will be provided.
