- Gua Sha — This ancient Chinese practice applies a soft scraping motion to the muscles underlying the face. Traditionally, this helps rebalance trapped energy or “chi”, but it also boosts blood circulation, assists with the drainage of the lymphatic vessels, and relieves tension.
- Microcurrent — A gentle electric current is applied to stimulate healthy skin. It can help firm the skin, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and gives you tighter, firmer skin.

When you arrive for your Essential Facial, the pampering begins. We’ll escort you to your treatment room and provide you with everything you need to relax. To begin your essential facial skin experts at the Lux Med Spa will begin by cleansing and exfoliating your skin. Toner and steam will also be applied as outlined in your treatment plan, and we’ll extract any blemishes we can to ensure a clear and healthy complexion. Your aesthetic care professional will then perform the soothing Gua Sha massage to relax muscles and soothe inflammation. Then the microcurrent will be applied to tighten and invigorate your skin. You’ll feel the cool and calming effects of the aloe mask as your face and neck are massaged to melt any remaining tension away. And we’ll wrap up by applying serums, moisturizers, and sunscreen to nourish your skin and help it defend itself from the rigors of everyday life.
